Brian Alvo

Brian specializes in helping high-growth companies and teams navigate their challenges more effectively so they can focus on growth. He has partnered with more than 50 companies in the Triangle area to develop their leaders through application-based training, coaching, and development – helping them to become more aware of who they are, and to provide a resource for organizations to lead transformation and ultimately improve performance and experiences. 

Brian partners with companies and leaders across many industries, including Biotech, Technology, Healthcare, Consumer Products, Automotive, Construction, Finance and more. His work includes helping leaders develop the skills, knowledge, and abilities to build and lead effective teams, transition between roles, manage up, down, and peers, and cultivate a mindset of growth. In coaching, Brian draws from values-based leadership constructs, academic models, and other communication tools/frameworks to organically maximize the potential of his clients and partners. 

Brian’s journey has centered on the concept of service. That service began as a civilian analyst with the United States Marine Corps, and then as Executive Director of an educational nonprofit in Nicaragua. With an MBA from Duke University, Brian has over ten years of diverse professional experience spanning multiple industries. As a Director of Corporate Development at LabCorp, Brian led strategic teams to realign and grow divisional business into national programs. He was also the Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Accounts at one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Durham, where he helped grow the company from 14 to 50+ team members in less than two years’ time.
